Who are these two?

A slightly blurry selfie in a stairwell. On the left, Seda: long dark hair, sunglasses pushed up into the hair, a red-and-white checked blouse, a red bead necklace with a thin silver chain and a small pendant below it, and a turquoise stud earring; Seda is laughing open-mouthed. On the right, Tuncay: a dark full beard, an orange bucket hat with a brim that is turquoise on top and black underneath, and a colourful parrot patch, a black T-shirt, a small earring and a blue-and-brown pendant on a dark cord; Tuncay is grinning from ear to ear. The two stand close together; behind Tuncay’s head, a raised hand blurs into the picture. Above them are the slanted white undersides of the stairs and part of a railing.
Seda on the left, Tuncay on the right. The parrot on the hat is part of the team too.

We’re the two people behind Happyiz Overthinking Coffee Shop: Tuncay Sancak, known as HappyTuncay, and Dyt. Seda Doyan. Both of us are the kind who can’t think about something just once and let it go; both of us have AuDHD (autism and ADHD). One of us writes books, the other writes the menu.

Who we are, in short, is on the two cards below; there’s more on our own websites.

We opened this café a little for ourselves, too: we wanted a table where a mind can work the way it works. Now there are several here. This is a café, not therapy.

No phone number, no email, no contact form. You can message us in the café’s WhatsApp group or on Instagram. The links below lead to other sites.

  • Tuncay Sancak, HappyTuncay

Author, founder of HappyİZ, diagnosed late with AuDHD. He writes books about neurodivergence for adults, young people, children and parents. He’s also the one who thinks about the sentences on this page longer than necessary.

  • Dyt. Seda Doyan

She’s a dietitian with her own consulting office in Kadıköy, and she also works online. At the café, the menu is her job: she wants it to say what’s in it and to mark the allergens. The menu makes no health claims.

How to reach us

Community

More than coffee, but coffee first.

We’d like Happyiz Overthinking Coffee Shop to be the meeting place of the happyiz.com community too: calm, in-person meetups for people with ADHD, autistic people, people with AuDHD and the people close to them. Once the first meetup has a date, it will be on the notice board.

3D image, not a photo: a small round marble table in warm afternoon light. On it, a Turkish tea glass with tea on a white saucer with sugar cubes, and a pink cup of coffee on a coral saucer. Out of focus behind it, on the left, a sage-green mesh frame and the edge of a cognac-coloured armchair.

  • Meetups planned

Small groups, set times, announced ahead. Nobody has to talk.

  • Workshops planned

Writing, drawing and focus workshops; low-stimulus, no pressure. We haven’t decided which will come first.

  • Quiet work planned

Tables for people who want to work on their own thing. Laptops are fine, headphones too.

Dates for meetups and workshops: Instagram first, then the notice board.
